Turkey and Mash-Ups
Thanksgiving must-haves: turkey, stuffing, cranberry jelly (ideally still in the shape of a can) and mash-ups! While daydreaming about mashed potatoes today and plotting my Thanksgiving feast and I realized that EPIX has their own special brand of mashers. I’ve already told you all about our crazy-cool “Shutter Island of Dr. Moreau” mash-up and there are a few more you need to watch. The Running Man and Gamer smoosh together into a crazy combo, Wargames and Hackers is a computer-geek’s dream, Fame and Lambada is a great mix-up if you feel like busting a move, and then there is My Bloody Valentine and Friday the 13th… an evil marriage if you as me. If you want a second serving of terror you can also watch Saw VI and Paranormal Activity.
They’re pretty fun mash-ups, right? It is one of my favorite things that EPIX does. Well, aside from paying me of course, because that’s my real favorite. Oh, and providing us with free fountain soda – but original mash-ups are absolutely my third favorite thing about EPIX. Sadly my idea for “Dances with Teen Wolves” has been put on the put indefinitely on the back-burner and although it made me blue at first I reminded myself that the back-burner is also where some of the best Thanksgiving treats come from; like green bean casserole, pumpkin pie and candied yams. Well… Technically those all come from the oven but you get my point.
What new mash-ups do you want to see? Leave your suggestions in the comment section below and I promise I’ll pass the idea along to the rest of the EPIX team. No promises on if they’ll actually happen or if they’ll end up on the back of the stove with me.
