Birthday Boys
What a busy weekend we had!  First Alec Baldwin’s birthday on Saturday, then Robert Downey Jr.’s birthday on Sunday!  Oh, and Easter too.  It’s impressive that a bunny somehow carried a basket of plastic eggs filled with candy all the way to my apartment, but two major Hollywood hot-shots were also born on the same weekend – which one of those is the real miracle, people?
I kid, I kid.  But let’s talk about the birthday boys’ accomplishments, shall we?  You youngsters might know Alec from “30 Rock,” but he had a major career way before Tina Fey started working for him.  He was in a slew of movies, married (and divorced) Kim Basinger, had a kid named Ireland and was, like, totally the hunkiest Baldwin brother - and still is, if you ask moi.
Robert Downey Jr. did a thing or two before Iron Man (and Iron Man 2).  Actually, he started acting at 5 years old and hasn’t really stopped since (besides some minor hiccups – but that’s par for the course in Hollywood).  He even received an Oscar® nomination for his work in Chaplin.  But no need to pick sides – Baldwin also got a nomination for The Cooler (and hosted this past year’s ceremony which is even… uh… cooler).
If you were going to either (or both!) of these boys’ birthday parties, what would you give them for a gift?  And since we’re on the subject of gifts, my birthday is May 23rd – plenty of time to pick up something nice.
