EPIX Team’s Unique Sense of Solidarity
Things can spread around the EPIX office pretty quickly – the common cold, a viral web video and sometimes, if we’re really well behaved, even stickers from the big boss lady. But this week something extra special has spread like wildfire throughout our floor… coordinated outfits.
It started out innocently enough on Monday where, purely coincidentally, Ben, G. Wills, GrahamGrafx and myself all happened to wear blue plaid shirts. Being that it was the end of the day and the boys had all been working very hard, I was able to break them down and convince them to keep the ball rolling by coordinate outfits with me on Tuesday as well. It was tricky trying to come up with something that all three guys and I had but eventually we agreed on t-shirts and a blazer. Not too crazy of a combination, but this isn’t a three-piece-suit kind of office, so the blazers stood out. Although I sent them all reminder text messages in the morning which read “t-shirt, blazer and smile day!” (and another text 5 minutes later that said “and, for the love of God, pants”) I was convinced I would be the only one to actually follow through. Not the case! Maggie even wore a blazer and joined our ridiculous group. Wednesday we decided on stripes and the group grew even more with Sarah. Today we all wore hoodies, and lo and behold, even more office members joined our posse – including Derek!
I am going to make keeping this EPIX ensemble-coordination my number one priority, but I need your help! Please leave a comment suggesting what our next theme should be. Keep in mind that it is for both boys and girls and ideally not too horrible. A girl has got to look cute, right?
Some ideas that have been thrown out so far: suspenders, 80’s sneakers, sequins, kilts, jumpsuits, jean cut-offs, overalls., Fedora Fridays… I can’t wait to hear your ideas!
