Funny Guys… And Girl! This past Tuesday I went to see Conan’s “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour” and although the entire act was sidesplitting, the highlight was the Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Andy Richter and Conan O’Brien dance off.  Yup, all four got into a heated dance off that involved some crazy moves and ended tragically in a pulled hamstring.  There is something about a grown man flailing his limbs around uncontrollably that cracks me up.  But luckily I don’t have to wait for another run-in with that comedic quartette to get my chuckles.  I mean, four funny guys together are pretty good, but twelve is even better!  Watch Comedy’s Dirtiest Dozen and get a peek into what stand-up comedy was like back in 1988 – the cusp of when Tim Allen and Chris Rock were about to become superstars.  Or better yet, watch David Cross: Bigger and Blackerer, Eddie Izzard: Live from Wembley, Sam Kinison: Back from Hellor Lewis Black: Stark Raving Black.  Since I don’t want you to die of laughter, be sure to take a brief water break in between each act. After watching all of these, I guarantee you’ll be ready for the EPIX Original Comedy Event Premiere of Janeane Garafalo: If You Will.  Finally we’re adding a funny lady to the mix!  Her stand-up act won’t be available for a few more weeks, but you have plenty of comedians to keep you busy in the meantime.  As always, we have a sweet interview with Janeane on out movie page, so be sure to watch that as well.  Prepare to laugh the night away.
