I Need My Own Rating System Sometimes I think that some PG movies should be rated LT-17.  It sounds bonkers, but have you ever seen a scary movie that was unintentionally funny or a comedy that was unintentionally scary?  G. Wills showed me a clip of Hank Azaria as Gargamel from The Smurfs movie and I honestly almost had nightmares about it!  I know he is meant to be a funny character in a devilish sort of way, but just the costume, make-up and his creepy evil walk alone freaked me out.  Then there are the horror movies that are so ridiculous it is almost impossible not to laugh.  I asked some of my friends, and two of them said Child’s Playis the ultimate hilarious-“scary”-movie.  Let the record show that I do not think this is a funny movie – in fact, I think I slept in my parents’ room after watching it and I have a vague recollection of shoving all of my stuffed animals in a closet for fear that they might come alive.  Shiver. But enough about me and my irrational fear of sneaky Smurfs and toys with a vengeance… What movies do you think have been mis-categorized as comedies or horrors?  Leave a comment and let me know.
