Film Faux Pas
Have you ever shown up to a party wearing the same outfit as someone else?  Samantha Jones and Miley Cyrus had an awkward red carpet run-in in Sex and the City 2, but outfit repeats can happen to us regular folk too.  In fact, I showed up to my prom in the same dress as another girl.  Or rather, she showed up in the same dress as me.  Surprisingly, we both lived through the night.
So, what is the Hollywood equivalent to some random girl jacking your prom style?  It is practically the exact same movie being released around the same time by multiple distributers.  Frankly, it’s awkward for everyone involved.  Remember Paul Blart: Mall Cop with Kevin James and Observe and Reportwith Seth Rogen?  Turner and Hooch (incredible!) and K-9, Armageddon and Deep Impact, A Bug’s Life and Antz, Turistas andHostel, The Day the Earth Stoop Stilland The Day the Earth Stoop Stopped, Happy Feetand Surf’s Up, Capoteand Infamous, The Curveand Dead Man on Campus(shout out to Zach Morris), The Truman Showand EdTV… the list goes on.  Don’t even get me started on the whole Vampire/Wolf trend – it’s way too overwhelming for me but if it makes the tweens of the world happy then I will learn to deal.  And remember the 19 made-for-TV-movies made about Amy Fisher?
Which theatrical twins am I missing?  Leave a comment and let me know which movie releases made you think you were seeing double.
