Free Personal Air Bender Could be Yours
So much to talk about! Last night Derek and I went to the premiere ofThe Last Airbenderand we had a blast. It is my second premiere (remember when I went to Why Did I Get Married Too?) and knowing what to expect made it even more fun because I wasn’t all nervy like I was the first time. But, you certainly wouldn’t have known I was all calm, cool and collected on the inside, because outwardly I was clammy, hot and disheveled. Sexy, right? The premiere was held at Lincoln Center and Derek and I literally ran there from our office in Times Square. We had gotten caught up working on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse page (more on that later) and had to motor on over to the theater.
Once we got there and I delicately draped my first ever Press Pass around my neck, (I’m so official) we got to work. There was so much to see and tons of great footage to get – there were live drummers, a troupe of Martial Artists and of course the whole cast and crew of the film including the aforementioned sexy Dev Patel, Noah Ringer, M. Night Shyamalan and Jackson Rathbone who was channeling a young Colonel Sanders though his all-white suit and Elvis through his hair and quivering lip. Needless to say, it was an interesting combination. (Check out the pictures on our Facebook page).
The biggest hit of the night was Derek who, in his infinite wisdom, brought along some action figures for the stars to play with. Proving that we’re all kids at heart, everyone we interviewed seemed to linger slightly longer just to play a bit more with their plastic mini-me. Or maybe they just wanted to stare longingly into my eyes for as long as possible. Maybe… Just maybe.
Another highlight was Derek prefacing his question to Dev Patel with “and the million dollar question is…” which I found to be utterly hilarious. Oh Derek, breaking out the good material when you least expect it.
Want one of the sweet toys I mentioned? I now have four giant Aangs with spinning hands and light-up heads, four mini Aangs, one Zuko and one Sokka and they could be yours! All you need to do is leave a comment here telling me which bending-power you would want – Air, Earth, Fire or Water – and why. I’ll accept any type of answer, but the funniest one is going to get a free used Press Pass signed by yours truly! Who wouldn’t want that? And no Mom, you are not eligible to win.

UPDATE July 19, 2010 – We have a winner!
